I'm looking into doing this and while I've played with the phone in store it is always different when I have my phones day to day.... Im wondering how you feel going from the gs3 to the g2

Personally I love the G2 compared to my gs3. Taking pictures is really fast and a big improvement in the quality. Battery life is at least 3 times better too.

I made the switch Friday and while I loved my galaxy s3... the G2 is amazing. I love the screen. The camera. The sound. Like others said you can't go wrong!!

Just saw this thread. I had the S3 for a year and a half and loved it. Last week I switched to the LG G2 and this phone is really very similar to Samsung (but on steroids). It does everything that the S3 did but better, including great battery life, better camera, and it is just faster. And the screen is amazing!

Not that you're asking this, but I just switched to the G2 from iPhone 4. It's taking me some time to get used to the new OS, but the display, pictures, speed, etc are awesome. I've been having some disappointment in the battery though in the first few days. I've followed some tips found on here and they seemed to have improved it more to what I was expecting. If I can get the battery life promised, I will have 0 regrets in switching to the G2.

Just got the G2 after using mostly Samsung (S2, Skyrocket, S3) and the phone has exceeded my expectations. Everyone kept saying that the back buttons were just a gimmick, but I actually like the new button layout. Amazing screen, great battery life, fast charging, and no lag at all. Surprised more haven't been sold.

Upgraded on Tuesday except on Rogers in Canada. While I also loved my S3, this is amazing compared to it. Breath taking display, speed, camera, and battery life and no I'm not exaggerating at all. It's a big upgrade in every way except for the build quality (G2 also uses plastic casing) but I have a case on it so I don't care that much. Here's by battery stats on day 3. With moderate to heavy usage plus everything on all day (Wifi, LTE, NFC, Bluetooth, etc) and also with 60% brightness.

It's pretty normal to experience battery drain for the first few days or maybe the first week since its a brand new battery. It takes a bit of time for it to settle so don't worry as I'm sure it'll get better as you keep using it. It's like this with any now battery so don't worry too much about it. You should have better battery life by the second week. Hope this helps.

Where did you get this info from?
This battery requires NO break-in period, nor do any new Android phones require battery break-in periods!

May just be an indirect reference based on app processes settling in by how the OS handles memory usage, etc.

Thanks for all the responses switching should be in about 10 days a couple more questions... I am 95% sure that I'm going to switch over to the g2 and my wife and I are expecting so I was curious how well the camera performance and video performance is on this phone ive heard only good things about the pq but not much about the video quality

Also I have lg smart share on both my tv, and bluray player and when I was playing on it today I noticed this software on the phone also and didn't know anyone's experience with this

Thanks all for the responses

If your having trouble with your battery drain one thing turn your screen down but here's the deal we ask for all this power and a 1080p screen guess what it's gonna eat battery deal with it folks
