Want new phone, but...

Hello all, I am still rockin' my Galaxy S9+, but I had a scare a couple weeks ago, and I thought it died. I'm preparing and looking for a new phone now. Here's the problem. I love my physical notification LED in the upper left corner. It allows me to see my phone from a distance to see if I have a message and based on the color, who it is that messaged me. I haven't been able to determine if there is anything close to this with any of the new phones out there. It seems some of the options will flash for a second, but then go away. This would still require me to pick up my phone and look at the screen to see who it was that messaged me. Thoughts anyone?

I miss the LED light back in the day , unfortunately today's phones don't have it but try to do like you suggest flash the screen or the camera hole punch out and Always on Display

How about using Good Lock Edge Lighting+ along with Repeat Notification Alerts in Notifications Advanced Settings?

Edge lighting it's what I was thinking also cuz I don't use it but I know plenty of people have it on their phones.

You could also get a smart watch. I know it's more money but at least you won't have to worry about seeing all the notifications on a phone.

When I went from an S8 to a S21 I really missed that Light. Have edge Lighting on but it's not the same. You'll get use to not having it and just physically checking you phone more often. I haven't thought about that alert light until reading this. I got excited seeing this suggestion--Repeat Notifications alert would probably work but its shortest repeat is 3 minutes and it have to be more like 3 seconds.

Just remembered for a while there I was using and app called AodNotify. It would light up a ring around your camera when you had a message. Forget why I stopped using it
