i'm seriously thinking of getting the S3 - i have the Nexus S 4G and i've been disappointed by the signal quality of both cell and wifi. i've read a lot of conflicting info on the S3 regarding the radio. i'm looking for feedback from those who upgraded from the nexus and how the two stack up against one another in their daily usage.

thanks!

I upgraded from a Nexus S 4G. All the wifi and radio issues were taken care with the last update. You should have nothing to worry about.

If you like stock Android & have gotten use to it with you Nexus S...any OEM skin on top might be a tough thing to get use to (no matter how seamless it claims to be).

I'd recommend either picking up a GNex or wait for the Nexus 4 in a few months.

thanks clavoduce for the feedback - that has been my biggest concern.

Lanhoj - thanks for the recommendation, though i'm not sure i want to wait too long- don't know how i'll find the interface. i did play a bit in the store- i should probably spend a bit more time with it first-- thanks!

Even though Sprint is a slow with updates, I think the Nexus S 4G is getting Jelly Bean soon. It's possible that the signal quality could be improved with Jelly Bean. You never know. :P

Sent from my Galaxy S3

thanks ace- isn't it at some point more of a hardware/ radio issue? i wonder how much a software update could help?? i don't know at all just throwing it out there for those much more knowledgeable than me!

I had the Nexus s4g. There is no comparison between the ns4g and this. The gs3 beats it in every way.

thanks- for comparison i was only referring to the radio - you find your signal stronger and more consistent with the S3??

I get pretty good Sprint signal in my area so signal has never been an issue for either of the phones.
