Anyone use a 'Note' app for their phone w/o the SPen?

I've been using the Notes for the past five years, at first with the SPen, but the last year, just writing reminder notes via text in my Note 9. I want to go smaller, not larger and have seen some of the NOTE PROGRAMS using text rather than the SPen. Any recommendations for Note apps?

I'm looking to bring in a non-note phone, w/o an SPen. I don't know if Sammy Note program will work on a non Note SPen phone. Looking for stand alone app recommendations for a non Note phone.

I have the Samsung notes on my s10+,s9+ so doesn't have to be note phone but if your talking outside Samsung I'm not sure

That's OK... if the Sammy Note app will work and can be downloaded on to a non Note phone, that could be a possibility. I know there are other Note type programs available, that's why Im asking. The ability to go smaller, phone size, like the 10E, is what I'm considering, in addition to my Note 9 or dumping the Note phones in its entirety. With the Notes getting so large, I'm considering smaller phones.

Evernote is what I use. The main selling point for me is with the paid version I can access my notes on computers tablets etc. It also works across platform. So if you ever decide to switch to Apple you can have all your notes.

I still use S-note. I also use keep and Evernote.

Besides Samsung note taking apps, I use OneNote by Microsoft and Notebook by Zoho Corporation. Hope this helps

Excellent recommendations! I will most probably go to a smaller phone w/o the SPen in the future and use one of the 'note type' apps. In the meantime and going forward, I'll use the Note 9 and get a factory replacement battery when the current battery degrades to a point of near no return. I really enjoy this Note 9!

Microsoft OneNote, Evernote as a backup with same info and for temporary notes, the Keep app. Good luck choosing.

I've been looking back over this thread, and I guess I'm confused. I have the S10+ and have the Samsung Notes app installed. Works fine. It's a Samsung app, nothing specific to the Note line of phones. Now the Galaxy Note 9 had the neat feature to use the spen to take quick memos on the screen.....without turning the screen on....I think? Is that what you're hoping to do on a non-Note phone?

I've been using Color Notes for years. It's a basic note and checklist app, but allows for backups and cliff syncing.

I pen & paper, along with OneNote. Write on the paper, take a picture of it in OneNote, and then type some extra blurbs for search.

Seems a long way to do things, but it's a process.

Hoping the Note 10 Plus changes that.
