Anyone use Carat?

I noticed my Android operating system was using a lot of battery. Someone recommended an app called carat that monitors the system and then compares to a cloud database. My concern is that I noticed that some of my system icons have changed to the carat icon so I am afraid that it's some type of a system hijacker or something. Can anyone confirm that it's safe to use?

I tried it for two days and it didn't find anything so I got rid of it:thumbup:

It says that it takes a week to gather information on your phone before it can make suggestions. But like I said I'm concerned that some system icons have changed to the carat icon
