If so, how is it working for you? Is it compatible?

Are you talking about having your Google voice number forwarded to the gear s?

Yes. Can the number I get for the S be set up in GV settings so people just call me to my GV number as always.

No, there is no GV app for it. This is Tizen, none of the Google services will work.

This is the biggest thing holding me back from getting an S. I want to continue using the apps I'm used to. I'd buy it and try to make it work but the restocking fee is holding me back if and when it isn't to my liking.

Forwarding will work for any phone numbers. There is no reason you can't forward to Gear S number. But if your Gear S is BT connected to the phone, you won't be able to receive calls on gear number by default because its radio is disable in this case.

working great so far

I have auto forward disable on the gear s, I have mobile number calls being forward to gear S (I did this manually), and gear S forward to Google voice.

1. while Bluetooth paired, calls that are not answer go directly to google voice after no answer.
2. while gear mode/remote connected, calls get forward to gear s, then it goes to google voice after no answer on gear s.

So while messing around with the settings for google voice and the gear s, I have found that if you activate google voicemail on your phone then the call forwarding option will not work when remotely connected to your gear. Calls forwarded TO the gear s work as they should. As soon as I deactivate google voicemail on my phone, and my phone & gear are connected remotely I have no issues with getting my calls from my main cell phone line forwarded to the gear. This is kind of a bummer cause I was hoping that i'd be able to use google voicemail and thier transcription service because tmo charges $3 per month for it. Womp comp. I rarely get voicemails so it's not the end of the world.
