Anyone using a nexus 6 charger?

I'm charging mine right now using the Anker. The light is green. I plugged in 40 minutes ago at 18% and it's at 71% now. Seems pretty quick to me.

I definitely agree that that's quick, but honestly, my Nexus 5 charged about the same if we're talking ~45 minutes 18%-71%.
I guess that's why I continue thinking it's not quick-charging. I keep comparing it to my previous phone, which doesn't have QC.
I will run a test with it again tomorrow then, when the battery is below 50%.

edit: Perhaps more realistically my Nexus 5 would wind up around 60%. I still have both phones, and I have an off day tomorrow for the first time in awhile, so I'll do some fun charging tests and report back here :-)

Remember that the Nexus 5 also has a 700mah smaller battery so it will charge quicker. I'll test tomorrow with the stock charger going from 18-71% and see how long it takes. I'm at 1 hour and 4 minutes now and at 96%.

Did Moto put a different charger in with the N6 than the Turbo? Because my Droid turbo quick charger works for me.

For any charging-speed results, please at least indicate whether the screen was on or off (other things like WiFi on/off may help as well). I see a big improvement in charging speed with the screen off. Unfortunately, some of the times that I would want to charge quickly, like in the car, I need to also have the screen on, like for navigation.

The Ampere app shows I typically charge around 280mA when using the LG charger & cable, with the screen on. With a 3000mAh battery, that would be 10 hours to fully charge. Sometimes the current increases to maybe 600mA, still with the screen on, but it usually decreases again.

By contrast, with the screen off, I've seen charge rates up to around 1600mA. But then it often decreases again.

Screen was off when I charged but all my normal features were still the same as when I use it.

Currently running test right now.

Using the Anker QC found here.
G4 at 30%, automatic brightness on (with 80% set), wifi on, bluetooth on but not connected, screen OFF.
Also running the app "Ampere" although not sure what it will provide me with at the end in terms of stats because I've never used it before. We'll see.

Will update.

I'm using my Nexus 6 charger with the G4 and it charges pretty quickly as well (with the screen off).

Okay, so it took just barely over an hour for me to go from 30% to 100% battery (the last 5% took forever). It didn't take long at all to hit 80%, which then tapered off to take the full hour to get 100%.
Plugged in at 11:25am, unplugged at 12:31pm. Screen off whole time.
Ampere app displayed 4.5a usually, but it changed a bunch.

Overall I am happy with the charge speed.

Sounds about the exact same results I had. I went from 18% to 100% in slightly over an hour. I think it was like 1 hour 12 minutes or maybe 18 minutes.

I am going to do a test in a bit when my phone hits 18% (I've been draining it this morning on purpose) and see how long it takes to go from 18-71 using the standard charger since it took 40 minutes on the Anker.

I wanted to update this thread because I tried my Nexus 6 charger again on my G4 and it worked as quick as, if not quicker than, the Anker charger. I'm not sure what happened last time I tried to use it but it was very fast this time.

I think sometimes the phone doesn't accept the voltage correctly for whatever reason. When I charged yesterday, my Tenergy charger stayed blue when I plugged it in. I let it sit for 3 minutes, never changed. I looked at Ampere and sure enough, only 1700 mA. I unplugged and replugged the charger and it turned green. Looked at Ampere and it was now showing 1980 mA.

Just charged my wife's phone from 7% to 85% in about an hour. This is with the Nexus 6 charger (Motorola Turbo charger).

I've pretty much given up attempting to understand this phone's ~ways of the charge~, lol. I keep going back and forth as to whether it is actually properly using QC speeds or it isn't. It still charges fairly quick for me each time, so, I think I'm done trying, haha.

My nexus 6 has lost its mind. It worked good for a few weeks. Just dies out of nowhere. So weird. Tried every trick. My only guess is the quick charger may mess up the battery calibration to completely broken. Any help would be cool. But I'm possibly gonna do a exchange. Sigh. Don't really want to.

Just bought the TYLT wireless charger and it works great. Charges my Nexus 6 with the case on. No jockying the phone to find "the sweet spot" on the charger.

Hm.. I plugged in my G4 (international model) using my Aukey quick charger.. Went from 9 to 92 in about an hour / hour and 10 minutes or so. Not super fast but not super slow either.
