edit: hard facts time. spare parts is listing kik as keeping the phoen in partial wake for 33 minutes 13 seconds. my total awake time is listed as 43 minutes so to me that doesn't sound good. the next highets partial wake program is android system at 1 minute

Yeah I've downloaded a few apps in the last few days, one being kik, and im trying to see which app is now staining the hell outta my batt...

i'm pretty sure its kik right now... anyone know if partial wake uses the same battery as awake?

what is Kik? I heard it for the first time yesterday and now I keep hearing it.

isn't it like a text thing? if so don't you guys have unlimited text?
or is it like a texting social network?

if you have ever had a blackberry its the closest thing to bbm (blackberry messenger) on android. its very fast for messaging and lets you see delivery and read status. its also cross platform for blackberry and iphone which BBM isn't. believe it or not i would not leave my blackberry for so long becase i didn't want to lose bbm... in fact a LOT of people feel that way

What's the difference between that and LiveProfile or some of the other messanger services? I tried using Live but idk. I don't have anyone to talk to so it was a waste of time. I also tried PingChat! But again... no one to use it with...

I like the Qik app because the Epic has the front camera. Both Qik and Fring will make use of your front camera. My wife has an Epic too and we can make video conferencing calls.

Well I tried deleting kik and it turns out something else is still draining my batt... What's that number combo to press which tells you detailed info?

I used to have kik, but it was absolutely killing my battery. It wasn't a problem before, but new update killed things from me. I'm using whatsapp and that seems to be a lot better. No battery draining issues so far.

Slightly off topic but somewhat related...anyone notice awful battery drain with Google Voice? As soon as I deleted it, battery life went back to normal.
