Anyone using the Amazon Cloud Drive to stream their music?

So I couldn't pass up the $0.69 for 20GB of (streamable) cloud storage that Amazon has been offering. I was just wondering if anyone is experiencing very slow/delayed playback of their music while using the LG Optimus S? When I hit "play" on a song that is stored in their "cloud" it will sometimes take up to a minute to begin playing. This is even happening over my WiFi network (20mbps) so I know it is not simply a slow connection. Do you think that Amazon's servers are not keeping up? Or do you think our phones are a bit underpowered to run it flawlessly? Just curious.

Edit: I guess I should also point out that I am not rooted and I am running all stock software.

I have not experienced this behavior. Running Scott Pilgrim awesomeness no overclock

Thanks for the reply. So you have no problems whatsoever? Do you have a large amount of media stored with them?

The same thing happens to me, but primarily with the first track I play. Once I get it started, it's pretty seamless from one track to the next. It does take about a minute to kick in, though.

I'd like to see Amazon integrate some sort of equalizer into the Cloud Player. I feel some of my stuff sounds awfully flat.

(Non-rooted Optimus S; about 14 GB of music on my Cloud.)

No, not a lot of music on there yet, 2 gigs or so, and yes the first track buffers for about 5 seconds then, blammo I'm off and running. Scott Pilgrim Interactive 245-804.

How did u get it for 69 cents???

Sent from my rooted LG Optimus S running CyanogenMod 7

^ Amazon is giving away 20GB of free "could" storage if you buy an album from their Amazon MP3 store. I sorted through and found a few albums listed for as cheap as $0.69. Sure enough, after purchasing one I instantly had 20GB of storage space.

Back to my initial issue. It seems like it has gotten better in the past few days. I recently uploaded my whole library into their cloud (19.8GB) and it seems to be working a lot better than the first few days their service was up. I am wondering if they just had to iron out a few kinks (which is completely understandable) or if their repair of the huge "Amazon Cloud" outage fixed this issue as well?

Regardless, I must say their service has greatly improved over the last few days.

Personally I think Audiogalaxy is a better option. I've been using it for about 6 months now. Install it on your PC, let it scan all your music, install the app on your phone and enjoy! I have 102GB of music. That's a lot of damn music lol. The only thing is you can't ever shut your computer off. But that's not really a problem for me, because I run my Audiogalaxy server off of an old Dell computer that only has a 600Mhz Celeron processor in it and 256MB of RAM. But I bought a 250 gig HD for it stuck it in and loaded all my music. I keep the computer sitting behind my entertainment center and hooked up to my television so I can load new music to my Audiogalaxy server from time to time. That computer is used for nothing but my Audiogalaxy server. And the great thing is I give my login info, and password to my friends, and they can stream all my music too, even if i'm listen to it at the same time. And I barely ever get any lag at all. I've also noticed since i've been using CM7 that the music is almost instant now when I play an album or song etc...Give audiogalaxy a try, you will not be disappointed.

Another option would be Subsonic - Same as the above Audiogalaxy - load the software to your pc and the app to your phone and you now have all your music available with you at all time.

You can even log in to your music using https from any computer browser as well. I use this at work daily.

Problem is keeping the PC on all day! I hate doing this for many reasons! Amazon seemed perfect to me, until I realized that my Sprint 3g has progressively started sucking more and more.

My cloud has 2957 songs in it, but when I use the Cloud Player app, it always displays as Song [X] of 2000. Is 2000 songs basically the limit of what it can queue up? Or is it somehow missing nearly 1000 of my songs?

I am just wondering the issue with keeping the computer on all day? I guess the only thing i can see is electricity costs?, and I cant say i have seen a big jump sense i have started to leave both my computers on 24/7.
