Re: anyone who just got their phone want to give a first impressi
First impressions. At this point it might seemed rushed cuz I have been posting on multiple Android forums today about this damn phone!!!
I like it alot so far. What I like:
Splash guard does work. Had my DX1 in the rain, had to battery pull and wipe screen to use it again. Washing dishes the RAZR got wet from my fingers, hands. Kept working normally. Thats enough of a Splash guard test for me...lol.
Screen is very nice. Havent seen Pentile on the other screens, but its is so subtle on the RAZR, you have to either: 1) have amazing vision, 2) holding it closer than normal IMO. At MY normal viewing distances its barely noticeable to not noticeable.
No lag, fast n quick. Setup went very fast connecting to Google. 3G seems to be better, connect better. Phone is amazingly thin, yet it doesnt feel like its gonna break,
It seems to have better reception than my DX1, which has very nice reception. Speaker is nice n loud. Like that alot. Notification light seems to be nice n bright too.
Camera functions fast, focuses fast.
What I dont like? Screen does get warm. This has come up recently today. Its not all the time, seems to be when downloading, probably when using that cpu, gpu too. Also noticed it when using the GPS and Maps.
Off center it has a tint. It doesnt wash out, which is a con of some LCD screens, but it has a tint to it.
Those are the only cons I can think of. Cant really comment on battery life since I cant seem to let it charge all the way...lol.
I never had or used a Bionic, but coming from a Droid 1 and Droid X1...this is a very nice upgrade. From hardware to UI. First thing my girlfriend said was its so thin. And she knows thin from using my DX1 so much.
In my area Verizon is better than T Mo for 4G. My GF has a Sidekick and it doesnt work in my apt for calls good and speed tests it sucks outside in front of my building. I live n work in a bad reception area, so I need a Moto phone just for the better reception.
