I have to close Facebook some too when I think about it. Closing lots of my open windows helped me some though. I'm still not anywhere like I used to be. Makes me want to just get a 64g now. I say that just to justify getting a 64g lol. Nothing to do with a better battery lol.
Why not configure Facebook and those other apps you feel are eating battery to close when the screen locks? EMUI has some great battery optimization options just for you!
For me, I have done that and I dont push Facebook notifications to lock screen and I have disabled almost all type of notifications (like for comments, likes etc.,) from Facebook.
At the end of day, if Facebook is something you use extensively and need it, then it is doing its job.
