Anyone with poor wireless and signal issues...

haven't tried yet, but i was told it would be no problem when i called yesterday. I am going to give them until the end of the month. Then I guess i'll hold out for the evo 3d even though i joined sprint for this phone

That's what im going to do also

Bet you Sprint did this on purpose so people would return it and get their flagship phone, the Evo 3D. Wouldnt surprise me a bit, they hardly even acknowledge the phone is out and I have heard reports of Sprint employees trying to get Nexus S buyers to buy the Evo 4G instead or wait for the 3D saying the Nexus has "old technology". Idiots.

Wow....that might be the dumbest thing I've ever read....Sprint has NOTHING to do with the manufacturing of this device aside from the addition of 4G...

Oh...and I'm a Sprint employee who purchased the Nexus 4G....I can assure you Sprint is not telling its employees to bait customers into the EVO 3D or the Evo 4G. Half the reps in my store jumped for the Nexus...

Lol...some of you guys are HILARIOUS!!

Ya I was a two Wichita, KS Sprint stores that said collectively they have had 9 Nexus S returns. I said why they said they all have the same problem the Radio not getting service...I live in a roaming area(not Wichita) so I didnt have that problem but the past 2 two times i've be to Wichita I have noticed the same problem....isnt this some thing that is an easy software update....I love this phones design and screen too much to take back plus the EVO 3D is so ugly and will most likely have a well locked down bootloader, recovery, kernal, and ROM. Plus who know what Sense 3.0 is going to do to battery life.

Yeah I have noticed weak signal with mine in Wichita but I have not had any issues with dropped calls. Hell it's doing alot better than my Iphone 4 did. Most likely there will be a patch to fix the issues, at least I hope.

I still think its not a signal issue as it displays less bars. Service has been no different for me. Just can tell when I lose 3g now. Before wouldn't display.

The wifi issue is real though.

Yup pretty much all this is over blown in my opinion most people complaining seem to have come from the Evo which didn't report signal correctly, which bugged the crap out of me and now they have a vanilla device that does. I haven't had any issues, the wifi issue may be real and if so I'm sure it will be corrected shortly.

I have reception issues as well. Picked up Nexus S 4G debut day from Best Buy, coming from a Hero for the last 2 years, and have 2 other cell phones (working well) in the household. The Nexus so far has the worst reception, even with wifi on (mere feet away) it is virtually impossible to get internet connection in house. It's not just here at the house, in other locations as well. I consider myself lucky to be able to answer an incoming call because my phone seldom rings. BB said I have 30 days to return, patiently waiting to decide what to do. Will BB exchange this phone and will it fix this problem, or is it more of a software issue?

Speak for yourself, this does not happen at my location.. Thanks for the assumption though.

Do you work for Sprint or something? Go look around at the other forums and even here. There are TONS of people with poor signal issues causing dropped calls, no service, no Internet etc..

I hope they fix this. I traded in my Epic for this, but hey I have insurance on it so i can just keep exchanging till I get one that works. I love this phone, just the wifi thing is really getting on my nerves. I'm sure google/samsung/sprint will get something out there. This is google's name on the line. I'm sure they'll get it right.

Not a single problem here with reception on wifi or cellular

I am coming from an Evo, and my Nexus drops calls in areas my Evo did not. I had Sprint send me an Airave, but this thing is a trouble in itself.

I have the same problems you guys all have, but they are definitely intermittent and my TWOS (time without signal) is always 0%, so I don't care.

The NS4G has actually increased my 3G speeds - which, with the EVO/EVO Shift, were never above 800kbps - and that is great news to me. This is just getting blown out of proportion big time.

Currently I'm around 1% chance of even connecting to market...network connection failure. Is this a hardware issue or gingerbread issue? Any ideas? Gonna have to make a decision soon.

It's not a gingerbread issue because I was running cm7 on my evo and never had these issues.

My nexus is constantly dropping to 1x data service and timing out on sending messages through google voice; which is very irritating. Even next to my router in the office I'm only getting 3 bars of signal.

At least for me, this issue is definitely not being blown out of proportion. I never had nearly this many issues with data signal on my evo.

I'm wondering if the T-Mobile nexus s users had any issues like this, or if it has something to do with the addition of the 4g radio/software drivers.
