Anyway I can get rid of the slidebar on the main screen???

I would like to get rid of the slide bar to on the main screen of my Inspire and I would also love to get it to wake up when it comes out of the holster like the blackberries do.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

I'm using an Otterbox Defender series case and the phone is 12 hours old.

Neither is possible unless you root your device. - minus the wake up out of holster. That can't be done.

Well, I believe Launcher Pro can disable the screen slider for notifications. Does not need root to work.
