Anyway to calibrate the SPen ?

Had a similar problem with a Bermuda triangle of pen misbehavior on the right central side. I took the case off and it vanished, put the case back on and it returned. Then to make sure I removed the note3 from the flip case and sat it on the flip side and the dead spot returned this time on the left centre. My problem is the magnetic closure on both sides of the case.

In your retail box if you look there is a clamp and 5 replacement tips for your s pen if you bought it from the store. What you do is take the clamp remove the old dull tip and then take a new one and put it in where your old tip went. &bam you have a new s pen and you have 4 more replacements!!! Do not go buy a whole new phone!!!! The new tip will be calibrated and work right and when that one gets dull then replace it with one of the 5 replacement s pen tips they give you in the retail box!! I've been trying to figure out how to calibrate mine and stumbled upon this info and had to share it bc I saw someone bought a whole new phone!!!! You could've gone on amazon and bought replacement tips or a s pen that goes with your phone!! Hope this helps some people my s pen feels brand new!!

Ok i maybe a little late to this but i think i have found the cause. I use the note 5 and i was having the same issue and after after some researching i found the problem to be the 3rd party case that i had installed. You see there us a electromagnetical coil which lies under the screen and spans the entire screen and is responsible for the working of the sPen and that is what sense the pens activity. But the case being a flip cover had a magnet to hold the front cover onto the phone. This magnet was interfering with the coil and thus the problem was only near the magnets.

Hope it was helpful😊

I found this to be my same exact issue/resolution. My phone case is magnetic so it will stick in the folding outer wallet case (which I do not use). The magnet inside my case was throwing my S Pen out of wack. Once I took the case off, the pen did not glitch out, skip around the screen, or go off center anymore. Hope this helps others.
