Anyway to get Android custom keyboard Apps to work on the Fire?

I purchased one and could not get it to work after I installed it.. The Kindle Keyboard just keep coming up.. I noticed there is a way to Kill the kindle Keyboard but did not try this and was not sure what affect it would have..

Anyone get custom keyboard apps to work?

Yep - works like a charm - have SwiftKeyX running on it now - here's the steps I followed -

Make sure when you modify the settings.db that you don't add an extra, blank line to the input method info. If you copy and paste the keyboard info from the XDA guide you will probably inadvertently add an extra blank line. This drove me crazy until someone else mentioned it. After removing the blank line it worked like a charm.
