Anyway to get rid of this, and what the hell is it?

Ever since updating you tube, this is what's on my screen. Doesn't matter what position the phone is in, and Bluetooth off.

Do you have a Chromecast?
Or perhaps an AllShare Play device connected?

What app version (5.2.27)?
What browser?
You haven't paired your device with a TV?
You could uninstall the updates and see what happens, then reinstall the latest updates.

It is the new Chromecast button and I don't think there is a way to remove it. At least not that I've found without uninstalling the updates and doesn't matter if a Chromecast is paired to it. Netflix is also supposed to have it, with Pandora and SiriusXM's apps in development I believe. Pretty sure all the major media streaming apps will be implementing it eventually.

I have no idea why, but since updating Samsung Link (All share play) it has gone away.

I spoke too soon. It only shows up when I have my Bluetooth headset connected.

Shows up on my phone watching any video or viewing any picture. When I click it, it uses my Samsung TV to broadcast whatever I was viewing on my phone. My TV is a "smart" TV and is online with the test of the devices on my network. Did you get a new TV by chance?

No, just headset. Checked the posts on the app. I'm not the only one with the problem, with the Bluetooth scenaro. It happened on the 5.2.27 version of YouTube app. If turn off Bluetooth, and restart phone it goes away. Comes right back as soon as I turn Bluetooth back on. I think your supposed to be able to link TVs and tablets with it, but it's not able to tell the difference I guess. Bluetooth is Bluetooth to it.

and Bluetooth off
Your original post said Bluetooth was off. If you turn Bluetooth on and then back off does that symbol stay on the screen until you restart the phone?

I have a smart tv and my phone syncs to it via WiFi. Without having tried yo connect, I accidentally sent the picture to the TV overriding the cable box. I don't know why but have you been around any smart tvs?

I misspoke before, yes I have to restart phone after turning off headset, for the screen cover to go away. As soon as I turn headset back on, it comes right back.

Mine has this too but I love it. Since I do not have cable or anything like that. I use Youtube to watch TV/movies on my TV via that little button. From what I know it is used to sync what you're doing on your phone to your TV. Comes in very handy for me.

Except when trying to watch videos on mobile device, that screen is over the video so it's hard to watch video.

What happens if you turn Wi-Fi off? The Wi-Fi connection is what would typically be used to connect/share the phone display. That would at least help you narrow down if that's what is going on.

I'm having the exact same problem. Must be a glitch or something. Hopefully they fix it soon
