Anyway to get siri or something like it

Don't expect siri on Android, wont happen. Apple didn't change the 4s design; however, they did dump serious money on siri. No App compares folks, sad truth. However, taunt that huge screen and pop that weather widget!

Siri has not been ported still.

I agree..if you think any of the voice command apps for android are up to the siri standard...you're kidding yourself...if you are making the judgement based on a you tube video...you need to try them for yourself...I wish this weren't true as I love my android...but it simply is.

I love Android. I think it does a ton right. What I like as well is seeing folks that are real, like you. You don't drink the koolaid, and I respect that. about 98% do. I wish Goolge would drop some projects that are not a hit and dump some multimillions into app integration via voice. They need to own it, third party apps are respectable and some are bloody good, but fail compaired to siri. Google needs to get serious here.

If it proves to be a hit, it's only a matter of time before a solid Siri like tool appears on android. Either google developed or third party it will happen.

If the market is there, it will happen.

Hi I am a novice developer who believes that the appeal and convenience of using something like specific voice driven search commands to find comparative shopping results is in all of our futures ? I'd like some feedaback about how long do you forecast that this will be an everyday activity ? Thanks

It probably depends on what you're looking for. If it's speed and accuracy, google voice search it pretty darned good. I have heard siri can be slow but don't own an iphone. I just know the commercials make you believe it is lightning fast. Siri of course has that personal touch if you're looking for that. It's all about personal taste.

TgeekB, as a former siri user I can tell you that it is as slow as your internet connection in the spot you are using it...when on a strong connection siri was lightning fast, so beware of what you see on boobtoob.
