anyway to root without computer?

Just wondering any apps I can use to root now or in the future?

Oh btw oonce I'm rooted. If I want to overclock, can I do it with setcpu? Or do I need a cuustom rom? Btw wats the diff between a rom and a kernal? (Sorry idk!!!)

You can't overclock your slider its already maxed out even at stock but you can change the min freq to save battery on it or underclock your max. Andd
A rom is a full firmware .(your system)
A kernel is the bit at the base level between
processors and OS.

There are no apps to root, but if you download the rooting package you can open the .bat file and execute most of the commands manually from your phone.

For example, you extract the files to the "rootme" folder on your phone. Reading the batch file (run.bat), you would substitute things like this. And then those commands would be typed into a terminal (use Terminal Emulator, with the slide out keyboard to enter them):

First to get into the right folder

cd /sdcard/rootme

adb push su /bin/

(Or any adb push command for example) would turn into

cp su /bin/

adb shell <any command>

becomes

<any command>

That's about it... written this from my phone so I cannot provide a detailed writeup.

Mmm actualy I read the bat file in my fone looks like a BUNCH of commands...and I don't think I shood risk it....maybe I shood just wait til I get pc access unless there's any way to run the bat file through the fone and make it root

Sorry for not being more descriptive. Many of the commands in that bat file are specifically for things other than the shell commands you need to be concerned about. You only need to worry about the ones that start with ”adb push” and ”adb shell”.
