Anyway to speed up the horrible camera speed on the Hero?

+1 I hope this gets fixed in an update of some sort. I try to take pics of my kids but they just move too dang fast!!

+2 so far for 5 megs the sucks.

I put it down to 3megs and it seems to work better.

the camera sucks, I am considering returning the phone because of it. I will try the 3 megs, hopefully its somewhat better.

Try this. Instead of using the trackball to take you pictures, tap and hold the screen. My pictures have cleared up tremendously with this technique.
