AOD not turning off when phone is in my pocket

I noticed the same thing this morning. I just switched it to tap to show, even though I only have it on from 10PM to 7AM

You guys should use aodNotify. Amazing app. Only turns AOD on when there is a notification. Dismiss and it turns back off. Love it.

Working fine for me. AOD turns off when phone is face-down. It turns back on when I pick it up. I'm on the October 1 security patch. I don't know if it wasn't working prior to that.

This has been an issue for a long time. I remember when I had my S8+ many people had problems with it happening. I'd assumed Samsung had fixed it by now. I've never run into it personally.

I have the Sept update on AT&T and mine turns off. But it does turn off after maybe a minute.

Ok, I take it back after reading this thread I decided to make sure. Sure enough mine doesn't fully shut off either but goes to a super dimmed state that I barely see it which is probably why I always thought it turned off. Hasn't caused any issues though.

Try it. The free version does what I want. The AOD not turning off was driving me NUTS. Very happy to find this app. Tried few others and none worker like this one.

No. Everyone confirming it's broke. It does dim but doesn't turn off. Look closely.

Since its still broken. I guess ill keep AOD disabled...
