Re: No update for always on display in have version 1.1.06

I do miss the notifications on the aod screen but I really like being able to add a background pic. I'm sure it's coming. *shrugs*

Re: Update for Always on Display

Just go to your Galaxy apps in your apps drawer and click on the 3 dots. Go to my apps and then update. All updates will show there.

Thanks. Signing in there is what it took.

So many costumization on this new update, and yet they removed the number of notifications received, now with more than an SMS or CALL, it just shows only the notification symbol. It became half useless.

Only notice this now. Instead of adding the proper functionality, which surely can't be all that difficult, they've actually made it less useful than it was. Terrible update.

WTF? I installed 1.4.02 and don't see anything new when I go to Settings>Display & wallpaper>AOD. WHAT is all the fuss about with this update?? I do see that there is a layout with a photo, but big whoop/more battery drain.

Struggling to see the excitement over this update. I suppose for me I just want to see 3rd party notifications which we still charge so the update is of little value.

Can you explain what you're looking for? I have a Note 7 in my hand and don't see any way to have third party notifications on the Always On Display.

You don't have to do anything. It was part of the AOD on the Note 7. I would get Words With Friends notifications on the AOD all the time.

Man I got nothing lol... Where else would it be... Can I download it?

You could go to Settings, Applications, Application Manager. Always On Display should be listed there. If so, go to Display and Wallpaper and you will see Always On Display there.

Thanks ya I did the update but now I'm just trying to find where my Samsung apps thing is

I was just getting used to being able to use the music features on the AOD for Spotify. So I hope they bring these updates out soon for third party apps.
