I use AoD tap to display. Do you think it uses too much battery even when it's set to tap to display?!

Don't have an S10 but it had negligible impact with my S7, and now my Note 8 and 9.

I wouldn't worry about battery usage, it's only lighting the few pixels needed, AMOLED screens aren't back lit like an LCD.

No I wouldn't worry..
It made me wonder because every battery saving tips article, tells you to disable it.

But since I'm only tapping it and it isn't always. I just like using it since they took away the LED indicator with the S10 phones

That's if you use AOD always and want to squeeze every bit of battery out of your phone , but having it set to tap and display don't even worry about it .

Even if it's always on it doesn't matter that match

I just changed mine to always on not too long ago and don't really notice much difference.

I have mine set to turn on when I get a notification with AOD Notify. With the amount of notifications as I get it is on more than it's off and battery drain isnt noticable at all.

AOD uses about 1% battery every 2 hours (if you leave it on all the time, which I do).

I wouldn't worry about it.
