AOL email problem - Sending Only

For the last few weeks I have NOT been able to send email through AOL on my Incredible. It worked fine before that. I can get my new email and browse all of my folders, but can't send anything. I get an error message stating the settings are incorrect. I have called Verizon and talked with 3 techs who could NOT figure out the problem after changing settings and uninstalling and reinstalling my account.

Anyone else have this problem? I did Google this and found the issue was affecting a lot of other Droid users. But...... nobody has been able to figure out the problem. And of course there is NO live person at AOL to talk to !
