Apex 2.0 Beta 2 Released :)

bummer. perhaps that sbf they published of the .596 might save a step or two. i have been pleased with all APEX builds and will probably do this today if work permits.

I think if I do that I will lose root. So far as I can tell my steps from the original Beta look like this, maybe someone can confirm them for me

Beta 1---SBF .340 Froyo---Zroot & Bootstrap D2---Both parts of the upgrade to .596 root---bootstrap D2 again---Apex RC1

Only other thought is if I apply Maderstock 340 can I cut out all the SBF junk...

yeah you're right. i forgot about that rooted version of the .596. the steps are so easy these days, you just got to be careful you dont forget one. when i went the .596 root method, the filenames were so long i couldnt see the end of the filename to tell what was "part1" vs "part2" in the 'choose your SD to apply" step...thankfully they're in alphabetical order. i think next time i'll just rename to a shorter one. 1.zip 2.zip maybe. ha.

ok couldnt resist. downloaded and applied. seems the icons actually require a "press" vs a "touch" as the .596 rooted felt...perhaps due to no blur i wonder. something to get use to i guess.

Well seems my long process of attempting to get off Beta 1 was a success. It only took 23 tries through sbf, then had some fun when the system had some parts apex some parts official running. A couple different shots with zroot, and having to redownload it (make sure you click Debug on or it won't work) then on to 2 parts of the official and finally apex 2.0 RC loaded on my phone. It was a long process, now that is over I'm glad I did it. Thanks everyone for the comments, somethings you just have to figure out for yourself though.
