Android Central Question

Hi, I have a Samsung Grand Prime Plus which is 8GB of internal memory and an SDcard of 32GB which I just started using few days ago.

I had good amount of space left in my internal storage since I don't play games and keep a keen eye in my internal storage like the data files, android files, COM files and such.

2 days ago I wanted to play Animal crossing Pocket Camp once again, it used to cause me a lot space issues and trouble I so deleted but I wanted to play it once more and then delete it.

Now I had significant space and made a mistake of not downloading it from the playstore first and downloaded an APK of Pocket Camp from Apkmody like I first did way back, so it wouldn't nag me about the space.

Here's happened, the installation failed, "App not installed"

now my phone has been having trouble installing APKs since recent update I guess so I expected this would happen.

But I didn't expect to lose space.
I still lost the space I had, from 550MB to 230MB, I thought I make sure it was Pocket Camp apk that took the space so I installed it again, it failed and took space from 230MB to 7.8MB.

Now I'm looking through the data files to see if there are remnants left but... I'm afraid of deleting any system file that might keep me from using my phone anymore.

Can anybody guide me as to what fail install APK files look like so I can find and delete them.

I don't want to factory reset my phone...

There's one folder I'm suspicious of and its com.36b2ac7dfd and number goes on, its 137B sized and that is small but I didn't see it before?
I'm sorry I'm forgetful and not android savvy. :c

Welcome to Android Central! What Galactic Zoo meant was to wipe the system cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-30545. Doing the cache clear in Device Maintenance is only for app caches, which is not the same thing.

It getting old that operating system but try here to look for your APK file just make sure you don't have one on the device search your app list as it could fail to install.
