APN Setting

I just ran into a problem wrt the APN setting. I currently has 1 active APN, and was not able to add the second one as inactive to be shown on the APN list page. I found ZF2 will only let me accept (be able to save) the second APN only when Name and APN fields are filled. When MMSC is added and saved, then everything I just typed disappeared from the APN list page. Is it a bug? I recalled I can add as many inactive APNs to my N4.

Another question, is SIM2 2G capable? Of so, how do I get that to work? Thanks.

I was able to create and save another APN without issue. Which model do you have and firmware? I have a 551ml US version with (WW) 2.18.40.12.

Sim 2 is for voice and text only. No data.

Same version here. How did you do that? Did you need to power cycle the phone? The second entry disappeared after I select Save from drip down menu.

I didn't do anything special. Just added a new one, filled in all the fields and saved. Checked that it was saved correctly and it was. Didn't power cycle. But maybe you should try turning yours off and clearing cache in recovery mode and try again.

You can see the test APN I added and you can see the MMSC field is still there when I open it.

Looks like the sim you are creating a new apn for needs to be installed in slot 1 when you are doing this. I just tried to create a new apn for a card (ting) that's currently in slot 2 and I couldn't save the new apn and the Ting profile I created earlier when the Ting sim was in slot one is gone.

It sucks if that's the case. At least it is not just me who can't add second APN as inactive one.

I played around a bit more and found that as long as I don't change MMC or MNC, it will let me save as additional inactive APNs. Kid of strange.

For those who are using their ZF2 on AT&T, how is your data speeds? I set up it by auto-choosing the network but the data speeds are not what I expected. Could it be the APN settings are incorrect in some way?
