App download size confusion

Has anyone noticed different app update sizes listed in "My apps and games" list (short update preview under each app) and in actual app update description when you enter the app in the Play Store?
The difference ALWAYS exists, and is often huge, which in the long run can significantly affect amount of downloaded data if you use cellular network.
No info to be found anywhere about this!

Different builds of the same app can have different sizes. There may be a build that won't run on anything later than 4.4, or there may be a build that won't run on anything earlier than 8.1. When you get the app from the Play store, you get the right build for the device.

It's all about dynamic app bundles recent feature developed by Google Play team. Now you can set your initial app size as, say, 37mb, and after the initial download of these 37 ends, the other part of the app is being downloaded. And it could be 200mb, or even more. So from a user perspective it's a bit frustrating.
