Not sure if this is general or Moto specific so I'm trying here.

When I pull up my app drawer there is a line of icons across the top which I assume are most commonly used(??). Is there a way to either get rid of this line entirely or manually configure it?

I think they removed that option in the Moto app Launcher, used in recent models. In previous models it could be changed from the Google app settings since they used the Now Launcher, but not anymore unfortunately. Well, or at least I've never managed to find the right setting :)

The best solution could be using a custom launcher (I use Nova).

Yes the suggestion does not work since there are no options as specified. Thanks for the quick response Diddy.

Thanks Javier for that information. As usual I appreciate the help and information!!

There are not many options that you can change on the Moto Launcher. Actually, just a couple, long press an empty spot on your home screen and then select 'settings'. Yep, that's all :(
Nova ftw :)

Hmm, bummer. Go for Nova Launcher -- you could get it to look pretty close to Moto's launcher, if you wanted to.

The Moto launcher is weird and I don't like it. There are some widgets that, on Nova, get placed nicely at 2x1, but on the Moto launcher I can only place at 3x2, wasting a lot of space (resizing is limited to one dimension and distorts the widgets).

So it's Nova for me.

Agree -- the ability to resize any widget is a really nice feature of Nova.
