I just stumbled onto this.....pertaining to the stock launcher....
If you have a huge list of apps in your app drawer and need to quickly get back to the top of your drawer, just single tap on your notification bar.
I'm sure some already knew this but still thought it was a pleasant find. I always like tripping over stuff like this.
