Any Android 4.0 or newer, so Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean, will not allow moving apps to your SD card. The logic is that if the data is all kept together, it will load faster.

The logic is ultimately to force us to use only their apps and their cloud. They'll tell you that apps on an SD card are a security hazard. Or that their built - in storage is all that any sensible user should need. Or some other self - serving evasion, but, ultimately, there's a way for them to make more money without apps to SD. Otherwise, they wouldn't bother.

Sent from my unrooted 32 GB Polish Samsung Galaxy GT I9300 running 4.1.2.

Well, I don't see how they could make money off of this. One cannot move apps to the cloud either.

I have experienced the fact that apps do load quicker off main memory than when stored on the SD card.

Some apps are not configured to run off the ext sd card. Certainly any with associated widgets will fail.

Why do you feel you have to move all your apps to the sd card?
