App incompatibility with internal memory

Maybe it's me, but it seems like some Android apps are having problems with the Incredible's internal memory (i.e. they don't recognize it as proper storage).

I downloaded Astro File Manager, and whenever I start it, it says:
Code:
Error creating external cache

Also, I purchased Beautiful Widgets (for the 1x4 weather\time widget), and it seems to have an issue. The widget seems to work, but when I touch the weather to show the extended forecast, it says:

Code:
Beautiful widgets requires an Sdcard for the forecast animations.

SatsportsLog has an issue as well. This app records your trip via GPS, then lets you upload the data to your computer to map your route in Google Maps (awesome for tracking bike rides). After you record the data, it has you move it to the SD card so you can pick it up on your computer. However, when trying to move it, I get the error:

Code:
Unable to access SD card

I've emailed all 3 app developers to see if they can fix the issue. It seems like there could be MANY apps that look for an SD card and might complain when it doesn't see one. Any others that you've noticed?

Ah, I just got an email back from LevelUp Studios regarding Beautiful Widgets:

Hi,

unfortunately I am not seeing anyway in the software development kit to be able to access the internal storage, we can only access the sdcard. It seems to be a problem with a lot of applications.

Great, so we might be forced to buy an SD card to make these apps be compatible.

BTW my DI came with a 2gb sdcard rubberbanded to the box. I used a 16gb card I had instead though

Ah, yeah you're right on Astro. I was plugging in the phone to take screenshots.

The other two apps though, no dice ;)

I'm not 100% sure that everyone gets the 2GB card. I know that everyone I know of that pre-ordered the phone did. but I don't know that people who bought it at a store did.

Might be that Verizon knew this might be an issue when they released the phone. 2gb cards are not very expensive in bulk now days.
