App like screebl

I used to use screebl until the recent update. Any good replacement? The built-in face recognition just doesn't cut it. Screebl was awesome, but hasn't been updated since 2014.

What I liked about screebl, was the use of the sensors. While holding the phone at set angles, the phone would stay on. Then when I put the phone down, it would turn off. With the built-in smart stay feature, it is inconsistent. Most of the time the screen will turn off while reading. Screebl always worked.

So how do you guys control the screen staying on while reading? I like to read in bed and the camera has a hard time seeing my eyes. I could be wrong.

You mean for ebooks? I use the Kindle, Overdrive, and Hoopla apps, which I think will keep the screen on as long as a book is open. Which apps are you using to read?

You are correct. Another app I use that does that as well is Libby.
