So gmail and google books are installed on the phone but in the app market it's listed under the not installed section. I can't uninstall to try and reinstall because the only option i get is to ''open'' the app is their a way to i can try and remove the market and re add it or even remove the apps and re add them it's bugging me saying not installed and they are...

Its a bug with the market. Happened only after the update to the new market style. It happened on my x and happens still on my bionic.

Same story with the new market on my rooted Epic 4G with Gingerbread. I have some preloaded apps I removed and they're stuck under Not Installed and I can't get rid of them. (This did not happen with the updated Market app on FroYo.)

Looks like a bug in the current version of the Market app and nobody has an answer yet. All the buttons except for uninstall updates are permanently inactive for Market in manage applications, so you can't clear Market's data, cache and defaults.

Hopefully Google is working on a fix.
