App names and language in Chinese after system update

I have a Lenovo S920, after updating the system some applications disappeared (eg. apps store) and new ones got installed. All the new apps and some of the older ones that have been updated are now only in Chinese, my device language on the settings is English. How can I fix this/change language on these apps?

The language in the apps usually either gets the language from the default language of the phone or it's hard-wired into the app (depending on the app). If the update was done in China, I'd expect that to happen (apps in Chinese). Otherwise, take the phone to your carrier and ask them to fix what their update broke.
