App Problems After Hard Reset

OK, I did a hard reset because I heard it will vastly improve battery life. After doing it and looking for my apps to reinstall, I find that I can't find certain apps that I had installed before in the Android Market. What gives? I can't find the NY Times app, Fandango and none of the Gameloft ones. I regret doing the hard reset now because my battery life wasn't all that bad in the end and now I'm missing so many apps!
