Android 12 has added a "OS Splash Screen," in front of the actually app Splash Screen. You get a blank screen with nothing but the app's icon in the middle of it before you are taken to the apps splash screen. Is there a way to trun this off? It looks like amateur hour.

I don't see that on my Pixel 6 Pro. Which phone do you have?

Yeah it is a feature of Android 12. But you cannot switch it off. It used to be very noticeable but I have noticed the animation is shorter on my p6p than it was on my 4a 5G.

You can turn all animations off in system settings. Under Accessibility you can reduce the animations and if you enable developer settings you can turn them off completely. To turn on developer options you need to click on build number in settings 7 times. You can find the options by searching for animation in settings and clicking on an option.

I’ve never seen this at all. 4A here. Never changed any settings. Are we sure this is supposed to be this way?

Can you post a video of it?

Also, any "RAM booster" apps installed? Or do you have the Developer Option "Don't keep activities" toggled on?
