App Sync?

I have used Android in the past but for the last few years have been using IOS for my phone and tablet. I am seriously considering going back to Android. I really like the S6 Edge+ , one of my biggest questions is though. App sync, if I buy it on the Play store can I put it on the tablet and not buy it again? If I were to get a checkbook app, would the data sync between the phone and tablet instantly? Does it work like that?

if you use the same google account on all your devices then you only have to buy an app once and you can install it on all your devices. now about data sync... it depends on how the apps are bdont by their makers. some apps sync some dont
