App that tells how much current (amps or mA) the device is drawing while charging?

I've searched and can't find one. Sorry if I missed something obvious.

I hope you don't take offense or anything, but I was curious why this information is necessary?

Open up a terminal emulator and type "cat /sys/class/power_supply/battery/current_now" without the quotes. That will tell you. I'll see if I can whip up an app to do this.

EDIT: scratch that, current_now isn't the right file. That will show you the current draining or something, but not the battery charge current. In the Skyrocket and Note I it was in a file at that location called batt_current_adc, but there is no such file on the Note II. I'll do some digging tomorrow and find this.

No offense taken. I am curious to see what my various chargers are actually providing. I have a couple of 2.1 amp car chargers, and I'm curious with various combinations of cables, etc. if I'm getting anything close to that. Same with some of my home chargers.

Thanks. I downloaded it and it looks like a very nice app with lots of good information. I think the current reading it gives is what the system is drawing from the battery, though, not what the battery is drawing from the charger.

Check my quote above, the file I originally stated was wrong. I'll do some digging.

I haven't checked it yet to make sure it reports the correct charge mAh on the Note II, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks again. I downloaded that app and looked it over. Can you help me understand what these two circled areas are telling me? Not sure I understand why they are the same both plugged in and unplugged, but I'm no electrical guru by any stretch.

Bump...anyone have any ideas on the circled areas of the above screenshots?

It appears to be the battery temp, voltage, and milliamp hour rating. Though we have a 3100mah battery? I am used to this widget from my old evos and rezound:

Im not sure it will work on the Note 2. Samsung doesn't support the method the widget uses to get the current draw info. I will test it. It may only work while charging and scaling may be off.
