App to convert old phone to clock/smart home control

[Android Central Question]

I have some old phones that I'd like to use for a night stand clock that would allow me to control some basic smart home devices (smartthings with google home)

Something where it was a clock with perhaps a button or two or gesture support that would allow me to configure a light toggle etc.
