Better Clock/Timer for Samsung S2 tablet

I have been using the inbuilt Clock app to set a timer for listening to overnight cricket commentaries from the other side of the world by chase-playing the broadcaster's live Youtube stream. Rather than listen purely live I want to listen in 30 minutes chunks so that when I invariably doze off I can resume listening from when the timer kicked in and pauses playback so do not miss as much of the action.

The inbuilt Clock app works well for this usage except that the sound is loud and blaring and not at all what I want to hear while dozing on and off during the night. On my S20 phone there is a newer version of the app which lets you choose a sound that is more relaxing but that option is not available on the tablet version of the app.

So I am looking for a replacement Clock/Timer app that works on the old S2 tablet and which lets me choose from a range of sounds. Two other musts are

1) It must have a Resume button that lets me set the timer to run again with a single tap;

2) This Resume button must be on an app notification that displays on top so I can see and use it straight away without fiddling changing apps or doing a pull down.

Already had a look at the app store but none of the usual suspects that are most popular support my needs. Anyone got any suggestions?

I am starting to think that maybe I should change to using my phone for this usage but that would clash with having it on a wireless charging stand overnight so cannot just roll over in bed to press the button but have to sit up instead.

Had another look in the store and found Comfy Sleep Timer. Not ideal as it does need a notification pull down and Youtube does not automatically resume playback when the time is restarted but it is an improvement.

On reflection the next time I am in this situation (the cricket is all over now) I will use my phone instead for this usage.

The best solution has been staring me in the face all along. Instead of setting a Timer in the inbuilt Clock app, setting a Silent Alarm with a continuous 30 minute Snooze does the job perfectly.

Mmm! Not a goer after all as the Silent Alarm defaults to snooze after one minute. Not what I want.
