App Tweaking?

theres several apps that keep running even though I end it with App killer or the phones default app settings. As far as I could see theres no settings to change that for the progs.

Some of them are:
Group Texting
Yahoo Messanger
Maps
K-9 Mail

Its not really a problem per say, but I'm trying to find ways so the battery doesn't get drained so much.

There really isn't much you can do for the battery as it is. You can maybe try using a "kill all processes" app or maybe root your phone and use setcpu, that's about it and you aren't gonna get a whole lot more life out of it. I'm keeping my eye out for extended batteries, unfortunately 1500mah just doesn't cut it in phones these days but they don't seem to want to use anything bigger.
