Any of you having issues with app updates "sticking"? I get notifications to update apps, and do...but then, a few hours later...they are available in the market to update again...and the app version installed is the old version.

I don't get it.

Anyone have a fix?

I tried clearing market cache and data hoping to fix, but it didn't...

Its not uncommon for there to be two quick updates when developers discover a bug in a new release. Often they don't even change the internal version number (just the apx version number).

I thought that, but it does it on every app...

Do you perhaps have two google accounts configured on this phone with market accounts?

After you install an update, have you checked the version numbers to make sure that the app actually updated? Maybe the updates are failing.

Do you get apps from other than the Android Play store? Amazon?, some dodgy third party site?

Is the phone really full? Any low memory notifications?

Only one account - and only on the HTC One X do I experience this issue.

The app will say it updated fine, but when I go into it, it is still the old version. Then I go to market and get notification again to download but sometimes takes two or three times to get it to stick.

Phone is not full at all. Only have 20 or so low memory apps installed.

Google MArket, err, play store apps only

I'm having the same problem on my GNex. I will update the apps and after I reboot that same day, the same updates are back. I have a feeling it is something to do with the Smart Update process Google Play is now using. It might not be smart enough yet.

If it were that then everyone would have the problem.
I suspect something wrong with your Google market account or something. Can't imagine what it would be.
Nor can I imagine were it is finding the old version to install after you update the apps.

Is your gnex rooted?
