App updates slowing the phone?

My RAZR periodically becomes very slow and remains slow until I reboot it. The slowness is most conspicuous when unlocking the screen. The screen takes a while to react and can't animate the sliding action properly.

I updated some apps last night and saw the slowdown immediately afterwards. Could that be the cause? Could it be the GO launcher I'm running? Anyone else seeing this?

Go Launcher has been lagging like crazy on my RAZR lately. I'm about one lag away from uninstalling permanently.

I have same problem. I use multiple home replacement apps and even on stock it will lag.

I have seen this issue on my RAZR running stock. It happens randomly, so I don't feel like it has anything to do with app updating. But it doesn't remain laggy, just for a moment when opening the lockscreen.
