Apple vs HTC

Apple owes you nothing. Sprint owes you nothing. HTC owes you nothing.

If you think otherwise, you need to extricate your head from your own rear end.

You know, if you're having trouble understanding something, you are allowed to go back and read it again. I didn't say that I was owed a thing. I merely correctly identified the culprit behind the delay for someone who did feel they were owed something. Check your own head.

The ITC and Customs are the reason for the delay. Apple does not have the power to pick and choose which handsets are stopped for verification, nor do they have the power to hold any single HTC model at port.

Yeah, your right.A multibillion corporation with the resources surpassing more then a few countries would have absolutely no influence on our incorruptible and virtuous government. What was I thinking? Shame on me for assuming wealthy entities could have undue access and clout with the powers that be. Now that everything is honky dorey,I'm going to go pick daisies and hug my dog. Do not oppose the Apple! Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated. Sent from my nonexisting Evo 4G LTE

Yes, shame on you. Its the kind of ignorance posted above that gave us the government we have and a nation full of mindless conspiracy theorists that believe everything they read on the internet.

Here's a hint for you: Not even HTC knows what handsets were given the OK to enter the country. What makes you think apple does, or can exert any influence on a process that is completely opaque?

Oh, and it is YOU'RE, not YOUR. If you can't use proper grammar, you shouldn't be posting here.

Apple's troll patents, and their avowed goal, as per Saint Stevie of the Jobs, to destroy Android doesn't play into this at all? I see! I assume then that you also don't believe that a group of lawyers from Apple with an (incorrect, but official) court order in hand could have been involved in making sure that Customs stopped and inspected phones that HTC had made compliant with said order? Then I'm sure it's definitely beyond the realm of possibility that those very same lawyers could be raising objections and asking questions to do everything in their power to make sure this delay lasts just as long as it possibly can.

You were wrong in assuming that I was asking for anything free, and you're wrong if you don't think all of that, and probably more, could and very likely did happen. And from your unnecessary interjection about the Government above, it appears the lack of understanding of how things work doesn't end there. Congratulations on your knowledge of "you're" vs. "your," quite impressive! Here, have some tea.

Or what?

Will you give up your chance at a great phone because HTC didn't throw in some doodad you may never use or send you a $5.00 "inconvenience" check? If you do, that is foolishness.

It never ceases to amaze me how everyone believes they deserve some compensation for life's disappointment. Here's the scoop: sometimes it rains on outdoor weddings. Sometimes someone else has used up all the hot water when you wanted a relaxing, hot shower. Sometimes, your car will run over a nail and you will get a flat tire. Sometimes, your local Chinese restaurant will be out of your favorite dish.

You can either chalk this up to the vagaries of life or you can dwell on it and make yourself miserable.

But remember, life is short and misery is overrated.

EXACTLY my thinking.....typical mindset of the people out there today, want want want want, everyone always wants free stuff if they dont get their way in the world.

For the record-

There's a lot if assuming going on.

Known facts:

HTC lost a patent case vs. Apple.

Customs and the USITC held back a shipment of HTC devices due to the result of the patent case.

Sprint and HTC notified customers of the delay.

Because of this an convenience waiting for my 4g LTE I'm anxious to see how HTC is going to take care of their consumers. For example Apple gave out free skins for the phone, because of the their hardware error. I'm hoping HTC does something similar or better.

HTC doesn't owe anyone anything.

you cant be serious....

If anyone is culpable it's HTC. If I read correctly, it was HTC who broke patent law. And Apple called em on it.
Hence, had HTC NOT infringed on Apple's patent, we'd might be instead discussing how much we love or hate our newly purchased EVO LTE 4gs.
Take away: Things have a way of getting delayed once you choose to break the law. Sort of how society has set it up.
And as far as freebies are concerned, HTC is floundering financially at the moment and can't afford to give anything away. Hell they're obviously broke or they wouldn't be stealing patents
