I'm back on Android; it's been a while.
Prior to posting, I searched for Notifications, but couldn't find what I needed. My questions are:

1. I was under the impression I could set specific tones for the likes of Twitter, no? And even more so, prevent vibration when the device is on sound for certain applications. Thus far I can't find that setting. Yes,mAndroid has tons of settings; thus easy to get lost.

2. One can install different keyboards, no? Again, with the plethora of settings, I can't find the menu to 'activate' a different keyboard.

Thanks in advance

Ivan

Not sure about #1 but for #2 you need to go to the Play store and get one (Swype, for example). Then open the app and make you selections there.

Each app has settings and you can choose the notification tone for it. So open the app and go to settings.

I've figured out 2. Odd but for 1, when I go to Twitter settings I don't see an option for vibrate. Yet if the device is on 'sound', and I receive a tweet, it makes a sound and vibrates.

Rather odd.

Thanks for help thus far.

Should be right here. Oddly, I can't get mine to save the notification sound.

Hmm, I've figured out how to edit notifications PER application.
Now the question is this:

When using 'sound', I'd like all applications, etc. to merely play sounds, NO vibrate.
When using 'vibrate', I'd like all applications, etc. to merely vibrate. Currently, it seems if I have the device on 'vibrate', some apps will not vibrate with a notification unless within the app, 'vibrate is on. The downside to that is, when the device is on 'sound', it will vibrate, too, and I don't want that.

Any idea on how to truly separate the two?

Thanks
Ivan
