Ok, first off im new to the forums. Hi everyone :] so here is my problem... I'm using the HTC Aria, and i want to install apps i have gotten from a website onto my phone. I put them on the SD card and I've tried Astro and Installer. Both say...
"For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in the Android Market."
it then give me the option to go to my settings or to cancel. settings takes me to the place where it says

Manage Applications
Running services
Development

Any help on how to change the settings? I can't seem to find anything :[

AT&T has blocked the ability to sideload apps. This means that on an AT&T Android phone you can only download apps from the Market. The reason you have an option to go to settings is because on non-AT&T phones you can change them to allow non-market apps.

So there isnt any way i can get apps for free?

There are a lot of free apps in the market.

I hope you are not referring to those sites that try to rip off the hard work of developers by offering paid apps for free. We support our developers here at Android Central. If you are not referring to those, I apologize in advance.
