Application to Modify long press on home screen?

long pressing the home screen is cool but is there is an app that allows one to map a fixed set of favorate applications to holding it down (rather than showing last 6 apps opened)?

That would be a huge improvement to the operating system and would make switching between applications so much easier and quicker....Particularly on phones that dont have a dedicated phone button.

I think I've seen an app like this before, but I can't remember what it's called. Try searching launcher on appbrain and see what comes up.
