Applications running

When I check my RUNNING apps, there are apps running that I don't recognize what they do. They are using memory. Most are Android related. Is there a list of apps with explanations as to what they do or function? Thanks.

I know that would show the individual apps that are running. I was hoping for a generic list that all Android systems run. Doing a screenshot of all of them would be counter productive. But thank you for your response.

TOP TIP:

I would not be too worried about the actual Android System apps themselves as they will be needed to run your phone and messing around with those could render it unusable or turn it into a brick. Besides, unless you are rooted, there is nothing you can do about them.

Rather, you should be more concerned with the non stock carrier bloatware which Verizon excels at and holds the joint title, with AT&T, as the most bloated Galaxy S5's on the entire planet. See, #1.6 of 41 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide

Thanks again. I'm aware of the bloatware and even though I've disabled most of the bloatware, I know that they must be consuming resources. Having said that, I'm going to take your advice and let sleeping dogs lie. Thanks again.
