Applying wallpapers ?

When I download a wallpaper / background from Zedge, I choose to save as wallpaper and a green crop box comes up. If I do nothing and apply it, it does not fit like it should. Is there a setting for this? Suggestions?

A friend has an Inc also and does not get the green crop box upon applying as wallpaper or background.

I don't use Zedge, but two questions come to mind:

1) Are you ordering the correct size for your phone (they are not all the same)

2) What happens when you DO crop it? Does it fit?

I get the crop box and I make it as large as I can by grabbing the edges of the box and touch zooming out.
