apps disappear from phone

I am having a problem with my apps mysteriously disappearing from my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and I HAVE to reinstall them from the Play Store!!! I Googled the problem but NOTHING came up!!! What is going on and how do I fix???

I know that the LG G3 has a Smart Cleaning function that will delete apps that haven't been used in a month or so, but I don't think the S4 comes with anything like that. You don't have any 3rd party app that might have that feature, do you?

Are those apps moved to the SD card? Could it be that the SD card is glitchy, and the apps that were installed and moved to the SD card are periodically "breaking," thus becoming uninstalled?
